Position Interface

This position reports directly to the Upland Manager and will interact daily with other sporting adventures associates.

 

General Responsibilities:

  • Be an ambassador of the brand and instill the Orvis Vision, Mission, Core Values, and Culture in the entire team
  • Clays Course support – help with cleaning, stocking, maintenance, tournaments, and any other assistance needed.
  • Assist in all facets of the Upland Membership activities including: upland hunting, mallard releases, continental releases, and driven shoots.
  • Assist with dog kennels- cleaning, maintenance, repairs, feeding dogs, etc.
  • Help to maintain bird inventory – feeding, watering, pen maintenance.
  • Receive bird orders, feed deliveries, etc.
  • Bird processing
  • Grounds keeping and maintenance (lawns, ponds, kennels, course, buildings, equipment, etc.)
  • Help to maintain all work vehicles (mechanical and cleanliness)
  • If needed and directed, support of other departments
  • Maintaining visual presentation standards

Required Qualifications:

  • Outgoing, friendly & personable with a positive attitude
  • Team oriented with the ability to take direction and execute with exactness
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Flexibility with schedule - weekend and holiday availability
  • Physical strength to reach, move, and handle sporting clays paraphernalia in high and low areas
  • Physical ability to walk two miles
  • Appreciation for the outdoors

Desired Qualifications:

  • Customer service experience
  • Wingshooting and fly-fishing knowledge

Compensation: $19 - $22
