Fly Rod Winder
We are seeking a FLY ROD WINDER to join the Orvis Team! This position works off-premise (i.e. at home, but within a 2 hour driving distance to our Rod Shop in Manchester, VT). This position requires a time commitment of 35 hours per week after an initial two weeks of onsite training. We offer a $500 sign-on bonus payable after 90 days of employment. This position is paid per-piece completed.

Position Interfaces:
This position reports to Assembly Supervisor; and interfaces with Winding Coating Lead.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for winding complete fly rods
- Marking rods, grinding guides, and lining up the guides
- Able to meet weekly at Rod Shop in Manchester, VT
Competencies and Requirements:
- High school diploma
- Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Patience with repetitive and detailed work
- Attention to detail and ability to perform with accuracy
- Experience with sewing, crafts, or other fine handwork is preferred
